X-rays play an important role in the diagnosis of dental problems. However, many people are concerned about exposure to X-ray radiation.  That is one of the reasons why this office uses digital radiography.  It gives us the accurate images we need to treat you properly – but does so with up to 85% less radiation than regular X-rays.

What’s more, digital X-rays images are instantaneous.  There’s no film to process or mount and that means our staff can spend less time developing X-rays and more time caring for you.

An image taken with digital X-rays can lead to a better diagnosis of your dental problems. That’s because it can be magnified 300X to enhance diagnosis, manipulated to correct contrast, and even color – adjusted to reveal hidden problems.
 

Our operatories are also equipped with comfortable chairs and the latest technology to provide quality dental service and convenience for our patients.  Each chair has a digital monitor placed in front of the patient.  This monitor serves 3 purposes.  The first is that digital X-rays can be placed in front you so that the Doctor can inform you of the diagnosis and explain treatment options.  Treatment options can be presented, choices made, and a treatment plan printed so you have a record of the treatment needed and estimated cost.  The second is to allow video presentations of what is involved in a dental procedure that the Dr. has indicated that you may need as part of your treatment.  The third is for entertainment.  All of our monitors are connected to our Cable TV service.  You may watch the channel of your choice or listen to music on a headset.
